The big fire has kept things interesting in a horrible major disaster kind of way, but all of the other topics are just lame. Someone burned a book… who cares. Some group built a church… who cares. Burn all the books you want, build as many churches as you can find bricks. I could not care less… If anything… people will have to buy more books and construction people make more money.
It is raining in Longmont, hope the mountains are getting this too. I already know one person who lost a home, possibly two.
This fire is looking really bad. Good luck out there. I remember living in Boulder, walking outside and seeing flames on the nearest ridge, it is disturbing.

We have a forest fire blazing out of control spewing enough smoke that it blocks out the sun. The earthquake in New Zealand supposedly moved half the earth 11 feet. Do you really think your making a difference driving a crappy car or buying a crappy light bulb? In terms of scale, environmentalism seems like a a ton of people pissing in the wind.
As I understand it, the skydiving swooping competition was run out of town, I don’t see the lake anymore either. I thought about starting jumping again just to swoop the lake… To the people who hate fun, you stink. That was an epic sport of the future and Longmont was an epic location for it. Booooo….
